For the last few years I have been starting seeds in those little plastic Burpee or Jiffy seed starting greenhouses.  I am here to tell you, DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY. They are flimsy for the cost and those ghastly peat pods never expand to their expected size, they hold too much water initially and then never quite absorb the way they are supposed to again, PLUS the little "biodegradable" netting so not biodegradable. If you live on the Zone 6 Zone 7 border, as we do here in Pittsburgh, then you should be aware that it is just about time to start your seeds.  Now many of my fellow gardeners have had mixed luck with indoor seed starting, as have I.
